Hi, my name is Christine Hudgins. I am a laser therapy assistant with Cruz Life Center now and I am happy to be a part of their family and assist in the health and recovery of each person that passes through our doors. I was raised in the Marine Corp and primarily grew up on the East Coast of North Carolina, outside of brief travels to places like Okinawa, Japan. I entered the healthcare field in 2005 as a home health care aide and eventually obtained my CNA certification. When my first child was born two months premature, I was introduced to Massage Therapy as a way to stimulate growth and development in my daughter. After seeing the benefits of massage in her, and then again in my son seven years later, who was also born premature, I went to school and obtained my license to practice massage in 2011.

I started in the spa industry but quickly realized my passion was more along the lines of sports and therapeutic therapy. I opened my business in 2012 aboard Camp Lejuene Marine Corps Base, the largest military base on the East Coast, located within the Wallace Creek Gym. By 2016 I had begun to suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome and made a decision to redirect my career path. I attended courses in Fletcher, NC to obtain my Class A CDL license to drive tractor-trailers and met my husband while attending this course. This chance encounter is what brought me to Burnsville, NC, as he was a native to the area. I fell in love with the mountains as soon as I laid eyes on them and have now relocated to Bakersville, NC where we bought our first home and are now raising our family. I enjoy paddleboarding as this is my only connection to the surf community that I’m accustomed to from the coast, that I no longer have access to while living in the mountains.

I travel back and forth often, as my extended family and my daughter along with her husband still live there. My family and I love to go camping, swimming, and hiking. My husband introduced me to the Rodeo, as he used to ride bulls and broncs, and I enjoy watching it every summer. Anything that gets us outdoors and able to enjoy nature. I enjoy watching my son at the BMX park in Fletcher as he is at the age of finding his life passions and this seems to be the first of many. I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you as I assist in your health and wellbeing here at Cruz life Center. God Bless.
