At Cruz Life Center, we have a multi-faceted approach to treating carpal tunnel problems. Laser therapy is our main treatment as it will decrease the amount of inflammation which is the chief cause of your pain. While surgery would cut a ligament, resulting in possible permanent decrease in strength and grip, laser therapy repairs the muscles and ligaments, resulting in increased function and decreased pain. There also may be irritation of the nerve at the neck or shoulder, known as a “double crush syndrome” this can also be addressed with laser therapy and/or chiropractic therapy. We may also incorporate supplements known to be anti-inflammatory.

Lesia Cruz explaining Laser

Laser Therapy Heals Carpal Tunnel Pain

Testimonies

After a car accident broke my hand and wrist, I developed carpal tunnel syndrome. I use my hands alot for work, which became difficult because of the pain and discomfort. My medical doctor recommended surgery, but it would result in long-term reduction of my grip and strength in that hand, which would hinder my abilty to build and work. I came to Dr. Cruz to try laser therapy and was really impressed by how much better my hands felt after treatment. I decided against surgery and am doing well. Aaron Spruce Pine, NC.

As A chiropractor I work with my hands every day, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a common complaint among chiropractors, after 18 years in practice I was beginning to experience the symptoms and had to modify how I did things in order to continue practicing. Thankfully, shortly after that we purchased our first laser unit and I used it on myself with fantastic results. Now, over 20 years later, I’m still practicing, never needed surgery. Dr. Cruz

How Laser Therapy Works

Laser therapy uses red and infrared light to penetrate deep into the tissues and stimulate a healing response at the cellular level. It has been clinically proven that specific frequencies of light reduces inflammation (swelling) which is usually the cause of most discomforts. These are low level or cold lasers so there is no cutting or burning, these are healing lasers. The best part is that the light actually stimulates cellular HEALING of the tissues, and not just temporary relief.

Often people can tell a difference after the first treatment, most will feel a noticeable improvement within 3 treatments, more may be needed for complete resolution depending on severity.
